Here’s a little of who I am
I’m blessed!
Sunny Southern California is where I call home.
I’m the oldest of my 3 siblings [insert typical traits of first-borns here]. I have 2 beautiful, intuitive kids I can’t get anything past. One girl and one boy. Both elementary age, less than 2 years apart in age, yes, they keep me on my toes, both mentally and physically.
Oh yes, and I can’t forget about Ziggy, my Terrier mix…he’s a trip, but we love him anyway.
I’m a Writer!
Ok, obviously, right? I’ve always had a talent and passion for writing. From middle school, I filled notebooks and journals with poetry. Blogging was a natural progression for someone like me for whom writing and journaling are both a therapeutic and enjoyable pastime. It excites me to capture my thoughts and insights, whether notebook or blog post. Sharing my writing is new, and makes this hobby all the more enjoyable.
I’m a Nurse!
I’ve been a registered nurse since 2011!
I’ve worked on Adult Acute Care units. I’ve obtained 2 specialty certifications related to the roles I’ve been in. So at work, I’m Armesse Cheney, MSN, NPD-BC, MEDSURG-BC.
I’m blessed to be in a career I am absolutely passionate about. I’ve given a lot of time, sweat, and tears to nursing, but it has given back to me in many ways as well.
I’m a Daughter of the Most-High King!
Last, but most importantly, I believe in Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior. My life, blessings, and accomplishments aren’t because I’ve been so faithful and disciplined, or because I’m so much smarter or luckier than others, it’s because God has been faithful to me, so He gets all the credit, not me. God has blessed me, tremendously, through what He’s allowed and withheld. So, my goal is to strive towards living upright before His eyes.
Will I fall short sometimes? Absolutely!
I’m not perfect, but I’m perfectly loved and made whole by God’s grace toward me.
With all that said (deep exhale), I’m so happy to have you here with me!
Welcome to my blog, where I hope I can share some food for thought, creativity, and encouragement with you today.
